Frequently asked questions.

How do travel advisors get paid?

We believe transparency builds trust, so we’re always clear about how we’re compensated. In most cases, booking hotels, tours, and experiences through us does not cost you anything extra. For these bookings, we’re typically compensated by our travel partners after your trip, at no additional cost to you.

Some services — such as one-on-one consultations, custom itinerary design, or full end-to-end planning — do involve a clearly outlined planning fee. These fees reflect the time, care, and expertise involved in curating a personalized journey and are always discussed upfront.

We’ll always explain which services are complimentary and which involve a fee, so you can decide what level of support makes sense for your family with no surprises.

Do we pay more by booking through you?

No — and in many cases, you receive more value by booking through us.

You generally pay the same rates you’d find booking on your own, and sometimes less. Our partnerships often include preferred perks such as room upgrades, early check-in or late check-out (when available), and added amenities, benefits that aren’t always visible online.

As an example, as certified Universal Studios travel advisors, we’ve helped families save up to $1,500 on a three-day trip by accessing preferred pricing and structuring the visit strategically. These advantages come from established relationships and insider knowledge that individual travelers typically don’t have access to.

More importantly, you gain guidance, advocacy, and support before, during, and after your trip, without the added stress of managing bookings or navigating changes on your own

Can we use just one service, or do we need full planning?

You can use as much or as little support as you need. Some clients begin with a one-hour consultation to get their bearings. Others ask us to handle only accommodations or specific trip components. Many choose full end-to-end planning. We'll help you choose the level of support that fits your trip, budget, and planning style—no required packages, no pressure to upgrade.

What is the Family Travel Survey, and why is it important?

"Our Family Travel Survey helps us understand your family beyond basic logistics—your pace, preferences, and how you like to explore. It's the foundation for creating journeys that feel personal rather than generic. Learn more about it on our Services page.

Can you help us explore off-the-beaten-path destinations or unusual itineraries?

Yes, and this is one of our specialties. We love helping families explore destinations from unexpected angles, whether that’s uncovering quieter corners of well-known places or guiding you toward destinations that are genuinely under-explored.

That might mean discovering southern Italy through places like Paestum, choosing Northern Europe during peak summer for its calm and culture, or planning a family adventure to places like São Tomé and Príncipe, where lush landscapes and remote beaches feel cinematic and untouched.

We don’t offer a fixed list of destinations. Instead, we match places and experiences to your family’s interests, comfort level, and sense of adventure.

What travel styles do you work with?

We plan journeys across a wide range of travel styles. Whether your family prefers casual comfort, adventure-focused trips, bespoke experiences, or a mix of all three, we design journeys that feel aligned and elevated.

Are you limited to international travel?

No. We plan both domestic and international travel. Some of the most meaningful trips happen closer to home or in familiar destinations seen from a new perspective. Every journey receives the same care and thoughtfulness, regardless of distance.

What if plans change while we’re traveling?

Travel rarely goes exactly as planned, especially with families. If you’re working with us beyond a consultation, we provide support before, during, and after your trip. When plans shift, we help adjust logistics, suggest alternatives, and troubleshoot issues so you can stay focused on enjoying the journey.
